Now that Christmas is nearly upon us (where has the time gone?), there are many festive activities going on for us to enjoy. One lovely option is to pay a visit to an art and craft fair or event; a great way to have a go yourself at making Christmas decoratoins or to get some Christmas shopping done for unique and inspiring presents – pop in and see Madame Treacle in the Artists Open Houses. Final weekend! Madame Treacle is exhibiting at 99 Dichling Rise, 9am-6pm. Come along for some festive cheer!
Christmas At The Royal Pavilion – Brighton, daily till Jan 4th – magical at any time, the Pavilion has been transformed with glittering decorations and trees. There are drop-in activities and a themed trail for children.
Christmas wreath-making workshop – Arundel, Fri 9th December – what a lovely way to spend a day! Learn the wire and moss technique to make a natural base and enjoy spending the morning decorating your wreath with traditional greenery, or in a contemporary style. A variety of pine cones, ribbons, berries, orange slices,cinnamon sticks, and more will be available plus friendly advice to make your wreath really special.
Christmas Craft Fair – Brighton, Sun 11th December, 11am-4pm – free children’s craft table, face painting, live performances plus a host of stalls bearing handmade gifts and festive goodies.
A Country Christmas With Home & Vintage – Sat 10th December, 10am-3pm – come to Grayswood for a day filled with lots of beautiful things to get you & your home ready for the festive season including Christmas decorations, fresh flower wreaths, gifts for that someone special & lots of vintage treasures. Mulled wine, mince pies, carols..perfect!
Johnny Loves June Christmas Vintage & Handmade Fair – Worthing, Sun 11th Dec – from 11am – 4pm, come along to this Christmas Vintage and Handmade Fair at the fabulous Worthing Dome. Live entertainment throughout the day, Vintage/Retro homewares, clothes, accessories, Beautiful handmade gifts. Vintage beauty salon, pop-up tearoom, children’s activities all in the iconic setting.
Ice Skating At The Royal Pavilion, till 15th Jan 2017 – okay, so it has nothing to do with arts, crafts or buying handmade goods…but it’s skating at the Pavilion! Beautiful, fun and festive – get your skates on.
Local Makers Market On Brighton Pier – Sat 10th – 11th & Sat 17th – 18th December – Supporting locally sourced produce from the Brighton & Hove area there will be stalls with food and drink, toys, crafts, clothing and art as well as free live entertainment, a Santa’s Grotto and snow machines!
